N.K. Jemisin brings an imaginative world to vivid life in the Broken Kingdoms, I look forward to the completion of the series as well as the new worlds that might spring from her fertile imagination!

I'll probably try again later. Just in a reading slump.

I so love the ideas behind this book. And especially the idea of the narrator, a powerful black blind woman.

The only problem is: nobody talks like that, all haughty and exact in their words. But this is just my standard problem with plot-driven fiction. If you're not already annoyed by the genre, I recommend this series.
