Why am I still smiling as I type this review after finishing this book?! Such a beautiful, broken read!

First, Davina low key got on my nerves and I was hoping someone would knock some sense into her 😂. 

Second, Deke is such a sweetheart! I was rooting for him the entire book!

I love how their stories come together and show what love can look like when two people choose love over fear. I was definitely emotionally invested in these two because they both deserved the love they could give one another. Shanora, thank you for not breaking my heart with this one! Beautiful story!

I’ve read 3 thrillers by Shanora prior to this, and I can say they’re okay but not my favorite for that genre. But honey this romance novel 🤌🏽 loved it! This is Kennedy Ryan level good!! However, I’m realizing I don’t prefer when romance stories have so much going on (heavy topics). This is still a good story, but there’s a lot thrown at you from multiple characters.

⚠️ TW include death, grief, suicide, domestic abuse, alcoholism, and panic attacks.
