This book had me in a chokehold. I would have finished it in one session, but you know, I had to sleep at least 3 hours before I had to human the next day.

I cried, laughed and got punched right in the feels. Corinne has such a way with words that makes you bond with the characters and hope they get the happy ending they deserve.

5 stars every day

With he return of Aaron, Liam and Natalie's HEA is thrown off course. But with every chapter new insight as to the state of Natalie and Aaron's marriage comes forward. Who should she choose? Aaron who she is still married but has lied to her many times? Or Liam - the man who picked up the pieces of her broken heart and loves her no matter what? Either was Natalie will break some one's heart. So will you be team Aaron or team Liam?

The first book was great. This one felt so repetitive and honestly, a little boring. She is a great author and I love her books but this one felt drawn out.

So much love for Liam and Natalie. I absolutely loved the journey to get them happily ever after!

The crazy cliffhanger from the first book in this duet really got me, but I am so glad as to how it was handled.

I loved all of the side characters - especially Rea, Mark, and Jackson.

Liam is honestly one of the best book boyfriends I’ve read lately.

beautiful wrap up

Conviction: picks up right where Consolation stopped. Liam and Lee now have some life-changing decisions to make both together and apart.

I thought this wrapped up this duet beautifully. I was guessing the plot twist but I still loved it. Liam’s dedication to putting Lee and her daughter first is one of the best things.

how many

How many emotions can one person feel in one book??

I’m afraid I won’t be able to put into words the amount of feeling I had while reading this book. I think I experienced as many emotions as Lee..

God I was a wreck. I loved this book. I loved the ending, I loved the plot twist. I loved the angst.. ALL. OF. IT.

Your a goddess Corinne.

——A BUCKET OF DRAMA, A BOTTLE OF ANGST WITH A ROMANCE ON TOP.

SUMMARY :

Natalie's heart shattered after falling for Liam, who left her in pieces. Facing a bleak reality without him, she struggled to bridge the gap of understanding. Desperate for Liam to grasp her sincerity, she wished he could see the unwavering conviction in her words, yearning for him to stay.

CHARACTERS :

Natalie's nightmare wasn't as gut-wrenching as it should've been. From the get-go, she had her mind set – love Liam, spare him pain. Sure, she was thrilled Aaron was alive, but that joy lasted a measly five minutes. What irked me most was her refusal to give Aaron a shot at redemption. Yeah, he messed up big time, but dude's on his knees, begging for forgiveness. I get it, he's a cheating jerk, but people screw up. She's no saint either – falling for his best friend in six months? The whole book screams selfishness. First, the baby obsession wrecks her marriage. Then, she mourns the single-parent life, only to ditch Aaron for Liam. Selfish, right? She needs a reality check – think about Arabella and Aaron, not just herself.

Liam started as a total sweetheart, bending over backward for Natalie while she sorted out her messed-up marriage. But, by the end, my warm feelings faded. Dude's too married to his job, always shoving Natalie away. Made me wonder if he even wanted her, 'cause he looked way too happy to see her go. A six-month relationship break? Drama overload.

We're no fans of cheaters, but I was almost cutting Aaron slack for his supposed valid reason. Yet, he had to play the jerk card when Natalie rejected him. Non-stop lies, no honesty even after getting busted – seriously not cool. The guy couldn't even respect the feelings of the woman he cheated with. Still, I feel for the mess he walked into after being through what he did. Can't say he didn't have it coming, but props to him for being a good dad to Arabella.

ROMANCE :

This love story had the potential for a killer angsty triangle, but it fell flat. Natalie had her mind made up from the start, no chance for Aaron. Bringing him back just felt like rubbing his cheating past in his face. Liam started sweet, giving space, but it got old with the constant back-and-forth. All she wanted was him, but he seemed too happy to let her go. And then, cue more drama – Natalie's pregnant again, Liam's trying to stay alive on field as his mom lies on her death bed. Too much drama, not enough triangle.

This is a hard one to review, one I'm still not sure how I feel about it and I don't want to give anything away. I really struggled with the first 35% of this book, it was just so sad. There is angst and then there is ANGST and this was all ANGST. On the other hand I think the subject was handled the right way and I don't know if there was another way to go about it.. Overall I liked this, I just didn't love it or like it as much as I liked [b:Consolation|23270403|Consolation (The Consolation Duet, #1)|Corinne Michaels|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1446648836s/23270403.jpg|42810543]
