Wow! What a hell of a ride! I'm always ready for just about anything when I dig into a Kiersten Modglin book, and each one I read seems to be better than the last. Every time I read a new one, I have a new favorite! I cannot speak highly enough of Kiersten Modglin's books! If you want a dark and twisty thriller that keeps you guessing, frequently saying "WTF!" and finding yourself with your mouth hanging wide open, then you can't go wrong with this book! I loved Loren and Rynlee! I could not read this book fast enough! I wanted to see Loren's house so badly and she was a girl after my own heart when she pulled out her phone to read on her kindle app when she had to wait for a moment. What's not to love?!
I listened to the audiobook, as well as followed along with the kindle edition. Loved the audiobook! The narrator's did and excellent job bringing this story to life.

Another great psychological thriller from this author. The plot: right after a couple marries, his mother comes for a visit, but has an agenda of her own. Lots of twists and a great cast of characters, including a few that are likeable, but most that are quite easy to dislike. It’s a quick read with a very fast-moving plot, and like all this author’s books, has a great ending. 4.75/5 stars.

I feel the same way about this book as I have others of hers. Underdeveloped characters, rushed plot, too many twists. I want to like her writing, to understand her popularity…
WHAT THE HELL did I just read? I started the book this morning and couldn’t put it down, even though the beginning awfully resembled the movie Monster-in-Law with Jennifer Lopez. I was literally choking with rage with every page. As a matter of fact, Im still pissed, as Im writing the review. I can’t even… Needless to say, you have to read the book!
Also, I now realize, I’m not giving my own MIL enough credit. She has been nothing but a wonderful second mom to me.
