Meh. I figured it all out before I was even halfway through. Parts of it were copied almost verbatim from The Arrangement. Compelling stories and all, but I think I’ve made a mistake reading two of her books back to back. Repetitive, predictable, and a bit try hard. Unrealistic plots and really out there twists are great on occasion, but this was a bit try hard for my liking. Kiersten Modglin may just be a one trick pony, unfortunately. It honestly pains me to say that considering how much I enjoyed The Arrangement. I refuse to believe that all of the 5 star reviews are real.

This was really good. I feel like nothing will be able to top Kirsten Hodglin's The Arrangement,but this was fast paced and fun to listen to. The narrations were great as well

Another solid, page turning thriller read by KMod in the books! The Mother in Law was full of creepiness and suspense with a great twist I didn’t see coming! Pick this up if you’re in need of a binge read.
