I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's such a clever look at humanity and robots and what gives life meaning.
I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. Each part is named after a famous author (think Agatha Christie and George Orwell), and is inspired by their works in a way. It's such a clever book, and it really makes you think.
Charles (or Uncharles as he comes to be known) is a great protagonist to follow. I loved watching him try to find a purpose after the events that happen at the start of the book.
I'd recommend this to anyone, but I'm especially recommending it to my partner, as I think he will love this book too. One of my favourite reads of the year so far.

A great mix of humour and social commentary. Really carried by the dynamic of our main characters, with robot valet UnCharles being very dry and emotionless (while still feeling very emotional) and The Wonk providing the more human levity and perspective.
