Cute! This second chance romance was so sweet. I enjoyed the story for these two as they reconnected in an unusual and uncommon way. The beginning of their story is a bit rushed, definitely insta-love (which, for the record I normally hate), but the way the story unfolds made me fall in love with them as a couple. Her being a kindergarten teacher and him being a firefighter kept making me swoon as well, ADORABLE. I also loved seeing the characters who were the featured couple in the first book being featured as prominent side characters in this book. It was like I was watching an un-folding TV series with all my favorites making reappearances! The side stories that were happening were interesting enough that I wanted to continue reading to see what happened as well as seeing how the relationship unfolded for the two main characters. Overall, I liked this book. I liked it more than the first one, because this one built on the foundation of the first and expanded on it to be even bigger, which I appreciated.

PROS:

1. I enjoyed seeing the development of the characters from the previous book even as side characters in this book
2. Sweet female main character
3. Enjoyable side stories that kept me interested

CONS:
1. Sometimes the main male character was a little too "touch her and 💀" for me.

This book might be for you if:
- You enjoy second chance romances
- You like your love stories with some spice, but not too much

This book probably isn't for you if:
- Super possessive men aren't your thing
- You haven't read The Coppersmith Farmhouse. Even though these say they are standalones, I think you don't get the full experience unless you read them in the order they were published.

4.5 The plot twist near the end was predictable and over the top. But the characters and overall storyline were great. The introduction to the MC from Clifton Forge makes me want to read that entire series now. Love the interconnected webs between all Devney Perry’s series.

Ummm...Nick. You had your reasons, but you broke our poor Emmy’s heart.

I loved this book so much. I loved how they both helped each other pursue their dreams. I also loved how Draven played such a part in the end of this book and how his and Nick’s relationship healed.

This book was excellent!

Nick and Emmy first met nine years ago in Vegas. When Nick kept daring Emmy to do things that she normally wouldn’t, it finally left to the biggest one of the night, getting married. Emmy didn’t hesitate and Nick knew he wanted to keep her. But what happens the next morning when Nick vanishes leaving only his ring and a note that says sorry? A delayed divorce and a chance meeting in a small town in Montana.

I absolutely adored Nick and Emmy. He had his reasons for leaving and he wasn’t going to go down without a fight and a chance to clear the air about why he left. Emmy had moved on, well partially at least. She left NYC to find herself and live on her own, away from her father. Nick was persistent about getting a second chance. He knew what he had and regretted leaving.

I loved their relationship. Once they talked things out and started dating again, they had a really sweet second chance. Sure they still had so much to learn about each other and they may have done things a bit backwards but in the end, they knew they had something real with each other — they just had to trust one another.

"No matter what it would take, I was getting my wife back. My Emmy. Even if that meant telling her things I’d sworn never to reveal."

The Clover Chapel was a book about a second chance romance after 9 years. It delivered the feels and made me remember why I love small town romances. The best thing about this series is the town of Prescott. The people are so welcoming and I just love how we get to see everyone interact.

I didn't expect to become so attached to Nick and Emmeline's relationship. Once we were given the reason that they were separated, I was rooting for Nick to win her back. Thankfully, he didn't let me down! Nick was loyal and determined to get his Emmy back.

"No man can ever make you happy because no other woman will ever make me whole. We're it for each other."

The way he pursued her was amazing. He was relentless but in a way that came off as so undeniably sweet. After 9 years apart, the chemistry between these two was still burning. They had easy banter and it was easy to see how they fell in love so quickly in the first place.

There was a twist towards the end here that I didn't expect. I was thinking I had it figured out but the author made it something that I didn't see coming!

Overall this series starting to become a favorite. I really enjoyed reading book two in this series and can't wait to read Silas and Felicity's story next.

I think Devney Perry has become an automatic one-click for me! After reading her debut, The Coppersmith Farmhouse, I anxiously was looking forward to The Clover Chapel, the second book in the Jamison Valley series. And it blew me away!

From the beginning when Nick and Emmeline met in Vegas and through their fateful reunion in Montana nine years later, it was undeniable that these two were meant to be. Their attraction was memorable, and they complemented each other perfectly! I also loved many of the side plots- especially Mason's- and catching up with characters from The Coppersmith Farmhouse, as well.

Denvey Perry has a way with words; her writing is fluid, the plot well-developed and well-paced, and she makes you care about her characters. I look forward to more books by her!

Update: I have also listened to the audio of The Clover Cgapel, anc it was great!! Ava Erickson and Joe Arden did a phenomenal job of bringing Emmeline and Nick to life!
