An overall enjoyable children’s picture book on the nature of personal journeys, something young adult me has been thinking on for some time.

Perfect for the last day of school or for a graduate. Loved it! Thanks for the suggestion, Noor!

The Road becomes a character in this story about trusting yourself and being a leader.  The text is a dialogue between the child and the Road.

"I said to the Road, Where do you lead?
The Road said, Be a leader and find out."

Throughout the book, the child asks different questions about the journey - what if I fall? what if people are mean? what if I can't do it?

And the Road reassures every time - Everyone falls at some point, but I will always be there when you land; If they are mean, lead them to kindness.  How? By being kind; You can do it.  How do you know? Because you have come this far, said the road.

One of my favorite activities is to read a children’s book when it is just as inspiring for adults as it is for children. This is one of those books. As an educator, I can see myself sharing this with middle school students. As a grandma, I will enjoy reading this with my grandsons. This book inspires me to delve into and discover more Cleo Wade books. Keep moving forward on this journey called life... don’t be afraid if you take the wrong road and need to adjust. Kudos to Cleo!

I LOVED this amazing picture book!! Life's journey presents us with uncertainty and so many questions - this is a book of hope, love, and persistence. And the book reminds us, it is ok to make mistakes.

Literally the worst book that has ever been written. Trash. Garbage. I cried buckets.

Slowly becoming a Cleo Wade completionist (yes, including her children’s books). I wanted a bit more from this one, but I suppose that’s what her adult books are for. 3.5 stars.

A book I very much plan to incorporate into my 8th/9th grade classroom as an end of the year read. Highly motivational and definitely a book to get you thinking about how you move through life.
