This book was excellent. Anxiety-inducing and heartbreaking, yes, but excellent. I love the way Gratz used the dual perspectives to draw parallels between the more-present and the past. This was a page turner (or kept tuner? since I listened to it?) FOR SURE.

Love any book by Alan Gratz. He masterfully blends these two perspectives together and will open your eyes to what the Afghan people have and are currently suffer through.

A great look at a tragic event from multiple viewpoints and showing unique perspectives. It also shows the lasting effects of 9/11 as well. There’s great information at the end, which was nice to follow up with even though I was already looking stuff up throughout the story. I still have a ton of questions, but this book is a great introduction for kids to learn about 9/11.
