First half was interesting. Second half felt like rambling thoughts. This book belongs on a list of books where the movie is better than the book.

My god this is quite the book. The first half I would say was quite difficult for me to get through, very rambling and slow and felt directionless. About halfway through it really ramped up and everything in the first half felt like it mattered a lot more. By the end it was clear to me that this was a story about unending grief, about unanswered questions and loss and regret. I don’t know what to do with the feelings this has brought about in me but I do know that I need to go lay down and hold my partner for a while and try to let the nausea pass me by.
