I listened to this as an audiobook - I didn’t love the voice of the reader, but I think hearing it read to me made me enjoy it a bit more - some of the more meandering passages, that I suspect could have been tedious to read, tended to become background noise.

A quick read with hearty descriptions throughout bringing the reader greater ability to visualize the atmosphere of the narrator. Will likely read the next two of the Southern Reach trilogy.

What a strange, short little read. I feel as I read more of this trilogy, the more I remember these worlds.

This book is perfect for lovers of other works like Our Wives Under the Sea and This is How You Lose the Time War

the first part of this book was a Challenge to read because it was incredibly boring. the middle and end made up for it though! it was a good thriller but i won’t read the other books in the series
