I GUESSED THE KILLER!!
So, this is obviously my absolutely favorite Hercule Poirot novel, since I was such a genius that I solved the crime before the chapters got into double digits. I couldn't guess the motive, but I knew who did it, how said person did it, and other specifics of the crime fairly early on! Christie had me second-guessing myself about half way through, but I stuck with my own detecting skills and was richly rewarded at the end. figuratively of course.
You know, it's really not from being so smart; it's from reading so many Poirot books, and so many in a row. I'm going to take a break to enjoy my success since I know that I won't get so lucky the next time.

Je n'aime pas trop lire des chrimes ou des choses sanglantes et gores, mais Agatha Christie a réussi à écrire un roman policier sans ça ! J'aimais l'intrigue et les indices le long du roman et je ne m'attendais pas à la fin !

Pierwszym o czym muszę wspomnieć, to fakt, że po tej części mam niedobór Herkulesa, bowiem jest go naprawdę mało, jednak kiedy już się pojawia, sprawia że cała historia staje się o niebo lepsza.
Sam początek książki był dla mnie całkiem dużym, ale jednocześnie pozytywnym zaskoczeniem. Już od pierwszej strony czułam się wciągnięta przez akcję, przez którą dodatkowo bardzo szybko się płynęło. Niestety z czasem oraz z każdym następnym bohaterem, lektura wymagała ode mnie większego skupienia, czasami nawet chwili przerwy, aby połączyć ze sobą poszczególne fakty. Czy uznałabym to za minus? Raczej nie, chociaż było to dla mnie nieco odmienne zagranie Agathy Christie, z którym to nie miałam jeszcze doświadczenia.
Wśród pozytywów należy nadmienić, że jak sam tytuł wskazuje, cała akcja podzielona jest na trzy akty, natomiast fabuła w nich zawarta, odpowiada tytułom poszczególnych części, dzięki czemu już za wczasu wiemy, czego możemy się spodziewać.

The one where it could’ve been Poirot…
I feel like I’ve read this whole thing before and just forgot to log it… in any case, I really enjoyed reading it (again). The dramatis personae… camp, I think.
