It’s cute but the writing doesn’t flow well in a few places. It’s hard to know who’s narrating because it switches in the middle, lots of grammar errors, things just cut off without finishing. It was extremely hard for me to finish especially the second half.
I’m trying to be really nice with this review but I have to be honest, I had a really hard time getting through it and I was just waiting for it to be over. If I had to give it an honest rating, I’d go for 3.5. It wasn’t bad. It was cute at some parts, but it just felt never ending. Honestly, I feel like this book put me into a reading slump.
Fun book that’s centered around the holidays but could be read year round. Enjoyed the characters and look forward to more books in this series!
Grumpy/sunshine trope. Very open door!

This was my first book by Chelsea Curto and I was so pleasantly surprised by it! I was looking for a Hallmarky holiday read and was surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. It was a sweet slow burn (eventually spiced up!) that I just loved from page 1.
It had some of my fave tropes: grumpy/sunshine, small town and a surprise! single dad (I did not go in knowing he was a single parent).
I especially loved how natural the relationship developed between Bridget and Theo, going from casual store front neighbors to friends to lovers. It was so sweet to see the progression and I loved how she developed the relationship between Bridget and Mac.
My only bone to pick would be how often the word y’all was used. I know Bridget is from and lives in Florida and as someone who lived in Georgia for several years, I have used it myself. But I felt it was just a bit excessive and took me out of the story a few times.
Otherwise, a sweet and spicy romance with low angst! Perfect for a cozy weekend in front of the fire or the holiday decorations

It’s official! I will read everything @authorchelseacurto writes
This book has every single thing a romance loving, book loving person could want! The holiday vibes are immaculate and the raw and open conversations are phenomenal.
