Lovely, down-to-earth story about how we find love after heartbreak or bad relationships. Its strength was in the setting, and the narrative strategy (switching back and forth between two characters’ perspectives on the same events). I appreciate that the characters were in their 30s and 40s, childless, and not necessarily in pursuit of romance. Felt very contemporary.

sloooooww burn but loved the banter thought it was well written. characters were very real and loveable and very jane austen english countryside romcom vibe. more depth than usual romance book but nothing i need to revisit or will remember i think
