Twelve Slays of Christmas by Jacqueline Frost is available to Audible members for free. It's a cute, cozy seasonal mystery that follows Holly White as she returns to her idyllic hometown and family Christmas tree farm after her fiance calls off their Christmas Eve wedding. Before Holly is home long, a cranky old woman is murdered casting suspicion upon the very people who operate her family's business. Determined to set things right, Holly launches into an amateur investigation. With a very slow burn romance, kitschy characters, and lots of yummy food descriptions this book would be a great option for cozy mystery or Hallmark movie lovers. Some points deducted for the ridiculous amount of times Holly described feelings in her "tummy" in the book. 3.5 Stars rounded up.

I liked this a bit more than the cider cozy from the author's other pen name, but there was still some casual fatphobia. The atmosphere was the best part. I don't really like it when the cop is the love interest.
