#TeamFalin, just sayin'. I'm really glad the author found her way back to this series. The world building, storytelling and pure imagination involved in this series is nothing short of amazing. The details... the. details. They are flawless. So much so, that sometimes parts of the books are hard to read because they are so graphic or horrific. This is definitely not a series for the faint of heart. But those parts need to be there to enhance and build the story and emotions. I'm going to jump into book 5 after a light, fluffy read to break up the violence.

Great read!

These books are well written, and a lot of fun to read. I really like the characters and the continuing story line.

I’m still enjoying this series, but do feel there hasn’t been much character growth for Alex. Also, wish there had been more development in the love triangle. It’s still up in the air back and forth between them.

Meh, really boring, and that ridicules drama

Alex is starting to fade because she refuses to pick between the light and dark faerie courts and fae need that connection to survive, lucky for her the her latest investigation is tangled up in the light court and she attempts to strike a deal with the queen to give her independence for a year and a day from having to choose is she can figure out the source of a new glamour infused street drug.
This one didn't hold my attention as well as the first 3 books in this series but I'm still getting Lost Girl vibes from the series and I still like Alex and the fact that there are real consequences to using her magic, so I will obviously be reading on in the series.

It was all right.

There's a new drug in Nekros. It makes nightmares come alive. Alex thought she was coming down with a cold, but finds out that she is fading because she has no tie to Faerie. A dead body appears on the Winter Queen's doorstep, so she commands Alex to find the killer. As she's fading fast, Alex agrees to take the case only in exchange for Independent status. Hopefully she has enough time left. I love this series and I am getting ready to start the next one!!

This was fucked up lmao

“The thud of my boots on the linoleum bounced along the walls as I walked, making the area feel hollow and abandoned. I’d never liked the ambiance of this hallway, and as on edge as I was now, if zombies had shambled out of the large morgue doors, I wouldn’t have been surprised. Though zombies weren’t likely. What I was really afraid of were faeries.

Oh, I know, who is afraid of Tinker Bell, right?

Me, that’s who.”

Grave Visions, fourth book of Alex Craft series is just as great as the three previous books. If you have read and enjoyed the earlier books, definitely get into this one too. I absolutely love the world Kalayna Price created in this series, especially the Faerie and mythological aspect of it. Alex Craft, the main heroine, has this slightly sarcastic voice I can easily connect to. She's driven and tough, but not really physically strong for once, which is a breath of fresh air to me.
The mystery was interesting as always in these books and even though I really like Falin, my favourite love interest still remains Death. I'm very curious about his past and would definitely want to know his real name already. Because saying I'm into Death is weird on so meny levels.

“If I’d been asked to make a list of the top one hundred possible explanations for what happened to these kids, going from most to least likely scenarios, “a clown crawled out of the TV” wouldn’t have made said list.”

I'm really interested about how the whole story ends in fifth book, which will come out sometime next year, and.. I know it's not the most important thing about this series, but... Who will Alex finally choose, because I have no damn idea.

Overall, I'd recommend this series for someone who is tired of the constant YA angst-drama-fest and wants to read some great Urban Fantasy series with interesting world-building, believable and likeable main heroine and lots of mythology.

“Al, what did you do now?” Caleb’s agitated voice asked in the message. “Why did Rianna just walk out of a castle that materialized in my backyard?”
