A thought-provoking, great book even though it was a tough topic to tackle and contained a few passages that I found a little raw, maybe even graphic to read. Whatever your stance on abortion, Jodi presents all the different sides through a number of memorable characters and stories. The book doesn't attempt to change your mind or shove a viewpoint down your throat -- it just gives the reader a chance to walk in another's shoes. The connections between the characters are surprising and enlightening at times, but no one's story has a cheap resolution or quick answer, which in the transverse, is frustrating. A few plot twists I didn't see coming, but they were not forced. In some ways, they should have been obvious, but probably only if you have read every one of her books.
Was wary based on some reviews I read but I couldn’t put this book down. Loved the way it was written and interwoven.
I always admire how much research goes in to Jodi’s books, and this book really took the cake. The amount of time she must have spent to provide non-bias facts and information is amazing. Of course, as usual, there were many twists that were revealed at the end. Overall, loved the book!

The backwards storytelling was an interesting choice, though it made the ending less climactic. Still, I saw neither of the final revelations coming.
I might’ve tagged it as ‘informative’ and ‘inspiring’ solely because I wish I was as well spoken as Dr Ward.

I’ve been reading a few Jodi Picoult books this year and I’m learning that I really truly enjoy her writing. I like each book more and more. The timeline was confusing for me to get into at first, but once I got a handle on it, I really enjoyed it, and I want to go back and read the first few chapters again to pick up on details I missed out on.
This book made me feel furious, happy, empathetic and sad, and I mean each of those as a compliment.
