A gift from my dad last Christmas that I finally got around to reading. I definitely would've found it funnier in 2007, but ten years later when these mocking of egregious beliefs have been genuinely reiterated to me almosy verbatim by hateful sign carriers at marches for the rights of women, queer people, people of color, and science...I can't laugh as hard, because the satire is just too close for comfort.

Not quite as funny as I was hoping from someone (and their writing staff) as Colbert, but it was still quite enjoyable (and I really enjoyed the "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep"/"Blade Runner" gag. If you're a Colbert fan, it's not a must-read, but you could find a much worse way to spend 5 bucks.

I listened to this as an audio book and I'm glad I did. Colbert's delivery is half of his comedy, so I couldn't imaging reading the print version. As always, Colbert delivers his own brand of outrageous comedy. This audio book was a bit like listening to a very long Colbert Report, minus the guests and timely topics. Even though he swore that the audio book wouldn't be offered to libraries (no free rides!), I checked it out and wouldn't spend money on it if your local branch has it. Overall, a pleasant listen but nothing spectacular.

Very funny book. I was really expecting a re-hashing of jokes from the show, but there really was all new material touching on many subjects. Highly reccomended.

Pretty funny, though my attention started to flag towards the end. I got lots of chucks from the "fun zone" activities and Colbert's thoughts on animals, baby carrots, and the environment.

I love the Colbert Report, but after listening to his audio book I learned that he should be taken in small doses. Hours and hours of sarcasm just becomes mean after a while. Really, Stephen. You wanna take on old people? I eventually had to stop because he sounded like the other guys.
