Even in the face of all Bridget's chaos, the thing that remains is hope. There is a strong "tomorrow is a new day" sentiment, and you know what we could all do with a little of that from time to time. Is it as strong as the first book? No, but it's just as much fun.

Despite loving the Bridget Jones’s films, i found this book to just drag a little. Knowing what happens because of the films might be why, as it felt like I was just waiting and waiting for
Bridget to be arrested!

I found Bridget and her friends to be a little insufferable. But i guess that’s also somehow the point?

I’m sure I’ll read the rest of the series eventually, but just not yet.

I'm not sure if I like the first novel or this one more. They both were great fun to read, but I somehow seemed more emotionally invested in this sequel. I sort of felt that too many plots were going on at once in this book, but I also felt like they all added something to the story. This book made me laugh out loud(the Colin Firth interview has to be my favorite) Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am glad I gave this short series a chance.

Enjoyable and easy read but a mixed bag in comparison to the first book. The pacing was erratic and it was easy to be confused by what was going on and what had just happened. First half of the book suffered from this and seemed to sort itself out by the second half.

Really felt for Bridget though everything was happening to her.

too much casual bigotry

I don't know if it was the style, the characters but I was just not following what was going on. It was not worth following through to the end. It was not worth the effort to understand it. I just didn't care about the characters. It just did not have the pull to keep me reading. I finished it but it was tough read.

Very enjoyable, the chaotic nature of Bridget felt a bit repetitive compared to the first book, I wanted her to grow in her own chaotic way, and some of the wording didn't she the best, though also is fitting for the characters to say, so conflicted on that

TW: racial slurs

Um. The film was… better??? I accidentally clicked on the star reviewy thing but would rather not rate it.

- mark Darcy is a Tory, confirmed. Bad start to things
- Bridget’s mum????? Neo-colonialism defined. Then Bridget seems to think she’s better than that, and goes to Thailand and basically plays white victim for a few weeks
- HARD N WORD ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS???? WHAT???? Enough pls!!!

It was silly and made me laugh a few times but fucking hell, that’s the end of my Bridget jones reading. Stick to the first one!!!!!!!
