I laughed so hard and I can't wait for the next book to come out. I'm so glad she wrote another one!

This book flushed out Mark and Bridget a lot more. I think I might like it a bit more than the first book.

Almost abandoned it more times than I can count. I think there’s a teeny tiny amount of growth starting from the 2/3 mark, but may very well have convinced myself there was just to find the strength to keep going. Overall, better than the first one, but still wouldn’t recommend.

I can never decide whether I'm enjoying a Bridget Jones novel. They're hilarious, to be sure, but she can be so insipid and silly- coming back from Thailand and freaking out about why Mark Darcy isn't calling her? That definitely had me annoyed- how insipid IS she??- until towards the end of the book she started behaving a bit more believably. "Sleepy Pockets," genuine worry, and that heart to heart with her mom definitely seemed more in line with someone who had just come back from a traumatic experience. That being said, I feel like the novel would have benefited from a deeper exploration into Bridget's more serious side- I love her silliness, but it can get to be too much sometimes, and it was refreshing to see her acting like an adult towards the end of the book. The drunk Christmas cards had me in stitches though :)
