I had to look up when these books were originally published because all I can think about is how impractical a beeper is, lol

Such a fun addictive ride. I love the violent, vicious world Laurell K. Hamilton has built. I know it is full of monsters but I can't get enough. I like the slow burn and tension that has developed between Jean-Claude and Anita. I hate that each time we see his character he is more vile than the last, but I haven't given up hope. Richard stepped up in this book and I enjoyed their interactions more than I expected. I am hooked and eager for more.

Really unnecessary hard N slurs. There are so many creative ways you could show a character being racist. Using slurs is lazy writing used for shock value.

I love the main character, Anita Blake. She has a strong and tough personality.
