Easy Sally Rooneyesque read. The trans characters feelings and anxieties were very relatable and nice to read. Interesting to read and imagine both sides of the relationship too.

I enjoyed the book and its perspectives, but it didn’t fully grab me. Once or twice I got stuck in the story line and mainly continued to finish the book. The ending however and many if the interactions between Ming and Tom are beautiful! I loved the mirroring;-)

This was good, if a little pretentious at times. I have a complicated relationship with trans stories. They're often a minefield of triggers. I compare my own lived experience as if it's a contest for who's getting the best grade at transition, and it's just stupid and I feel bad for doing that. But anyway, this had some relatable moments and some awful, crushing moments, both related and unrelated to transness.
