I found this very cute. Nanase (Sakura), and Kairi (Tendo) are both somewhat of a mess. I like Sakura's resilience, she's clearly smart enough to make it through medical school, I'm not sure how old she's supposed to be early 20s I suppose, she's just a little silly. Her infatuation with a doctor she met briefly was a defining factor in her career choices.
Tendo, makes me think of House (from mid-2000's TV show House MD) if he was younger and hot.
He's kind of an asshole but knows how to do his job. His character is still somewhat of a mystery compared to Sakura's, since the story is from her POV.

This review will be for the whole series; read at your own risk!

Read 2 volumes

The last thing I need is another enemies to lovers older lady romance. BUT I LOVE IT. Grumpy and sunshine, doctor and nurse, it’s some of my favorite tropes. The plot is decent and the end of volume 2 makes me desperate for volume 3! I’m looking forward to more of their cute interactions!

I'm a fan of Maki Enjoji, so I was excited for more to be licensed. I'm definitely going to be following this one, and I hope we get more from her and more josei in general.
Sakura thought she found her prince charming five years ago, when Tendo stepped in to save a mans life. Now that she's finally become a nurse and is given the chance to work with him, she's discovered that he's terribly rude in real life.
She immediately gets a different impression of him when she gets to work with him, but thankfully she's also found a passion in being a nurse. And he's also a good doctor, so she has to prove that she can be competent in her job, as well, and decide whether she wants to work in his department.
I found the hospital aspect of the story interesting, and I don't mind it—I have watched some medical dramas. I think some story lines were a little rushed, or maybe forced, more than went smoothly, in this volume. And even their relationship wasn't quite hitting me, I'm not sure if it was the chemistry or the characters.
This volume was just okay to me, which is a little disappointing. I hope that it gets better, as I really want to like it more.

It reminds me of Library Wars, except she remembers her “prince”. It’s a cute fun read.

This reminded me of Grey's Anatomy as other reviewers have mentioned. The medical setting and the patients make an interesting narrative. The heroine seems to have some potential as do several of the peripheral characters, but I find the hot-and-cold love interest kind of flat.

The hospital setting was giving me Grey’s Anatomy vibes and I was living for it. The banter and butting heads between these two were hilarious.
