boy oh boy, where do i even begin?!? i think it’s safe to say that lila and nova are my new favorite couple from the fallen men series. this book was so angsty and emotional, but beautiful all the same. i adored both lila and nova as individuals, though when you put the two of them together, their relationship is something beyond special. i cried, i laughed, and i definitely swooned while reading. i loved being back in this universe that giana darling has created — she makes me want to just live in it! bravo, giana, bravo!

The reason I started this series!
This book is the reason I started my journey with Giana’s Fallen Men, I saw a special edition cover and had to have it only to find out it was book 5 in the series. Well I am not one to start in the middle, and I took the jump, and I’m never looking back! The way Giana writes is so visual, you become more than a bystander in her worlds, you can’t help to be a part.
What can I say about Lila & Nova? Their lifelong connection is why I read romance, the way these two care and protect each other will make even the strongest naysayer believe.
But this is a part of the Fallen Men series, so where this book has flowers, it also has grit and a brutal honesty that Giana does so well. Nova might not always be a good man, but he loves fiercely and completely.
Read this series! Just do it.

Nova and Li. For anyone who’s ever experienced unrequited love, this one is for you.
Nova and Li have always been connected intrinsically since youth. The two grew up as neighbors, with Nova becoming fast friends with Lila’s older brother Dane and in turn befriending Lila too. As the two get older, Lila begins to develop a crush on Nova and it’s not long until things come to a breaking point between the two where suddenly.. afterwards, Lila is engaged to someone else and Nova is still single. Now, Lila and Nova have always had an extremely close friendship up until this point. Nova has leaned into a playboy persona for years in the Fallen MC and Lila is about done waiting for him to finally notice her.
Danger is still lurking on the horizon for the Fallen MC as they try to shut down the prostitution ring on Entrance’s border and balance their beloved prez, Zeus Garro still being wrongfully imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. Lila, desperate to step up for the only family she’s ever known, despite having no man in the club and no blood relation to any members, decides to take matters into her own hands to help out. This forces Nova, the very man who introduced her to the fallen MC family, to finally confront the depth and true nature of his feelings for Lila.
These two know each other inside and out. It was such a GORGEOUS love story. Lila’s bravery and romantic heart mixed with a daring edge made her one of my absolute favorite heroines. This plot was masterfully done. There were so many points where I was just utterly shocked and blown away! Seeing Nova succumb to his love for Li and learning the true reasons behind his playboy persona was an incredible journey to go on as a reader. You get to learn so much about this man and your heart will go out to him.
Found family aspect continues to be so STRONG in this book.
Lila’s biker babe crew of Lou, H.R, Cress, Bea, Maja, and Tayline all pop in and out of the story at crucial times to play supporting roles to Lila and Nova’s love story. Giana makes you feel it all: the pain and angst of unrequited love mixed in with the firm belief that some people deserve better than what you can offer them makes for an emotional, gripping, and unforgettable love story that Nova and Li have.

“Nova’s always been the pretty boy, the affable, unflappable jokester. But around you, he had this depth, like this secret compartment in his personality only you could unlock.”
