Overall this was a great financial book with great messages for women. I love all the mindset switches, and the fact that it’s not about how to scrimp and budget, but instead focus on making more money. The authors tone was friendly and there wasn’t a ton of jargon. It’s definitely for entrepreneurs, though, so some of it was irrelevant to me.
My main critique is that I wish she had said some words of caution against MLMs. Way too many women are scammed into the idea that MLMs are entrepreneurial, when they are scams and not ways to become a millionaire for the vast majority of people who sink money into them. It’s tragic to see these scams happen to women around me, as the DMs from people I barely know get more and more desperate. I could see someone who is been sucked into an MLM scam see some of the things in this book as validation that they’re on the right track. Specifically: community is important, and sometimes you have to sink money into something in order to make more money. I believe those things are true for entrepreneurs, but used to scam women into MLMs.
Overall, I really loved this book though. Again, the mindset shifts alone were worth the read to me, even if not all of it was relevant.

Edit to add: I’m just now noticing that all over the book it says that it’s a “step by step guide to making more money.” It is not. It’s a collection of mindset shifts, and lots of tips. A step by step guide would be “first this, then this.” Which this book is not. So don’t expect a step by step guide!

I have thought about this book countless times since I finished(4 months ago), which I’m sure is the goal of any author. This book helped me achieve an entirely different business mindset. I will be rereading this, likely several times. It’s written by a woman, for women. It absolutely stands apart from any money mindset book I’ve read so far. She constantly states that you can do the most good with more money and I love that line of thinking.

📚 2024 #38: “We Should All Be Millionaires” by Rachel Rodgers

📕 This book is a financial empowerment book for women and minorities, who have historically been paid less for the same jobs and deemed financially irresponsible. Many of us have limiting beliefs around money that prevent us from reaching our earning potentials. Rodgers breaks down exactly how we should reframe these thoughts and ask for the money we deserve. She explains why women should all strive to be millionaires -- not just because we can, but because women are proven to have a larger positive impact on their communities because of their spending/donating power.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5: I listened to the audio version and can see why Rodgers is such a successful coach and public speaker. This book is perfect if you're looking for major inspiration and rewriting of doubts. This is more about the mindset and "why" behind becoming a millionaire, less about the "how." It's still highly empowering and does include several actionable tips for making the most out of your time and business.

🤓 You should read this if you're a woman, other minority, have imposter syndrome, or have any negative feelings about making money or being rich. If you liked "Million Dollar Weekend" by Noah Kagan or "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel, you'll probably like this.
