The whole plant thing is actually pretty cool! I loved how they did that. It did get a little confusing with so little explanation and I really hate love triangles.

3 stars, liked it but nothing stellar. I think this is meant for a younger audience, which is why I think I wasn't as into it.

Definitely 3 1/2 stars. I liked the story, for me it took some unnecessary turns. The climax was very enjoyable. I liked the relationship between Laurel and David. But I didn't get into the relationship with Tamani as much. Suddenly she was constantly thinking of him and wanting to be w him, and I was wondering why... We don't know him. But, in the end it's explained. And there seems to be a Edward Jacob thing going. Will read the next one.

I got this book on a whim since it was free at B&N, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was good, not earth-shattering, life-changing good; but a good, fast read. The characters were likable, not terribly deep, but not annoying. The mythology was what intrigued me the most...it is most definitely unique. I like that the author went a totally new direction with her idea of a faery; she made it her own, and it made for an interesting story. I will be reading the rest of the series for sure.

1/4: Excellent first book of series.

I initially read this in high school, but I reread it now, seven years later expecting it to be another cheesy teen fantasy read. But oh my gosh the romance is so good. It develops out of friendship and he is respectful of her boundaries. Not pushing boundaries or pushing her away, he's a good guy. And their reaction to the wings is pretty spot on. Oh I can't wait to reread this series.

Ok I read lots of reviews before I read this one. I was very hesitant and almost didn't read it but I am really glad I did. It is different, it is out there, and it is familiar all at the same time. I loved it. Reminded be a bit of Amanda Hocking's Trylle books a little.

I found this new approach to the fairy stories to be quite intriguing. I'm torn whether I am getting tired of the girl torn between two guys story, but I think if I were Laurel I would be torn as well. Right now I am thinking I like David more, but will have to wait to read the next book, eh?

Light, quick read. Not the best book I've read, but it's not terrible. In fact, I thought it was cute. AND I love Tamani<3 not so much David. Will read the sequeals..

Great for middle school Twilight fans but, instead of vampires there are fairies! Unpredictable suspense kept me reading. Will be a sure win with middle school girls.
