i love this book! i didnt think i ways going to like it because it s about faeries but it was amazing! i cant wait to read the rest of the series! :D

Another YA series with a love triangle. I think this is not as violent as the Hunger Games, not as sappy as the Twilight series but okay. I don't feel terribly compelled to read the series.

Wow i didn't expect it to be this good... I read it because my friend didn't have anyone to fangirl with and yeah well I thought it was more of a book for children but it turned out to be so exciting and a thought-through story line. I was literally so shook everytime they discovered something about her that was leading to the theory of her being a plant. She has no blood (+period), no heartbeat, doesn't have to breathe and so on... I was literally flabbergasted {love this word hehe} ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But once again there was a love triangle. And I was sure I was gonna ship David with her but then Tamani came and just like he did with Laurel, he had this kind of magic that made me love him. But I still ship David with Laurel! Even tho I think she's gonna end up with Tamani because they're both faeries and they just understand each other better ?? But seriously the last chapters, she first kisses David (I'm all happy) and then kisses Tamani and I'm like JUST CHOOSE GURL and when you finally choose, send the other one over to me I'm available :) ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyways I love to believe they really exist and there are faeries like Tamani who protect their kingdom in the woods. Sad part is that spells isn't at our library😭😭

At first, I loved it, even though I found the style extremely disturbing. Later on, though, I started to feel annoyed at everyone and everything maybe except for Tamani, and it stayes that way until the very end of the whole series. But it was magical, and I'm glad I read it... And for those who love Tamani as well, don't lose hope. I didn't.

Recently listened to the audiobook but originally read when I was in middle/high school and I think that’s prime time to read it as it has a very twilight vibe and I have really fond memories of the book. However I would not recommend to younger readers because it (**spoilers**) goes past the point of love triangle and laurel is playing with these boys emotions and cheating the whole series because she can’t make up her dang mind. Nothing more than light making out but I still don’t think you should treat a relationship so lightly no matter how confused you are

Interesting concept, but not what it was hyped up to be.

I hope everyone understands I read this because the main character is named Laurel and because of its unintentional comedic effect.

It's so bad that it's good again.

This book is ok, I enjoyed reading it but doubt I would ever read it again. I bought the sequel but just haven't found the desire to read it yet...
