I'm over it. The long descriptions of the clothes, the constant sexual interest, the never ending litany of future knowledge without acting on those insights or using said knowledge to one's benefit. Jamie and Claire are perfect, flawless, and make no self-interest decisions. They are beautiful sex-symbols who show no signs of age. Despite any prior treatment or injury they are currently in Olympic health with straight white teeth. probably the only two people so perfect on the face of the earth.

Felt bogged down in the detail and didn't see story progressing as fast as I wanted it to. I may return to this series at some point later as I did enjoy the writing.

Of the four Outlander books, this was by far the slowest and one possessing the least amount of plot devices. It took 350-400 pages to really get going, slowed down again after a hundred pages, and then finally picked up again at the 700 mark. Much of this could have been resolved with some adult conversations, but also with fewer pages.
