Pappé expertly pushes back against the narratives promoted by both Zionist and revisionist historians about the founding of the State of Israel. For anyone interested in the roots of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, this is an accessible place to begin.

A good history book on a heavy topic. Unfortunately I already feel like I need a reread to refresh my (shoddy) memory.

absolutely required reading, methodical, though made me feel physically sick the entire time. what can you even say about this shit. a thousand years in hell would be too good for that murderous dog ben-gurion.

what really made me feel good was, coincidentally while i was reading this, to see a poll from this March (published in ha’aretz, only in hebrew) which said that 56% of the surveyed israeli jews supported the forced deportation of all arab citizens of israel. old habits die hard i guess

Very informative. Once again emphasises the importance of knowing both sides of every story. Quite shocked by the roles that the UN and the UK have played in this conflict. Even more shocked that they haven't gotten any criticism for it.
