A poem. Beautiful prose. Beautiful funny struggling Irish villagers.  Heartbreaking decisions and moments and fate.  Sentences so good you read them over and over for the pure joy of it.

Not sure whether to give it a 3 or a 4. Lovely, lyrical writing lots of atmosphere, sense of a place and time, but a bit of a drawn out story.
