The audiobook, read by Dermot Crowley, adds plenty to the book’s already ample charm. I will carry “This Is Happiness” in my heart for quite a while.
What a sweet story. I so enjoyed the writing style and the meandering life in small town Ireland. The problem was with me - I think my modern day brain wants to go too fast. Towards the end I felt myself skipping descriptions and felt impatient with the plodding storyline.
