This book follows Amara and Dante. We get both their POVs, and the book starts off in the past and follows in chronological order with the biggest events and their interactions in main focus.

Dante is the first born son of the leader in the outfit (I think something like that), and Amara is the housekeepers daughter. He doesn't notice Amara in the beginning, BECAUSE she is 5 years younger than him. Multiple things happen, which leads to Amara and Dante being separated for about 8 years, and I wish we got to see

more of their secret interactions.

. The book follows their past from early ages, to the event leading up to their forced separation, and the events after the death of Dante's father, where they are both reunited. So many secrets continuously revealed from this world, and the plot from the two previous books continues. The plot was very well intertwined with the exploration of their relationship and I didnt feel like it was more plot-centered than character-driven, or opposite.

There are multiple darker scenes that affects both the characters, especially Amara. Please check trigger warnings. I would say this book is the darkest so far in the series.

I loved this book, and I never would have expected Dante to be the way he is lol. He is a loverboy, and I love that there is so much more to his character: his love for his brother, him wanting to avenge

his ex

, him loving and creating art. I am happy I got to see more of these two, and I love how they view each other as a power couple. "You are the beat to my heart".

There are some very heavy topics in this book, and I encourage everyone to check the trigger warnings before reading.

I think the writing was better in this book compared to the first two but still very cringy at times, it also feels very slow. I'm intrigued by the plot so I'll read the next book as well but I wish we had discovered more by this point
also not a big fan of the weird age gap they have cause at some point she's like 13 and he's 19?
