It took me a very long time to get into this book, and longer than it should have to read it, except for the last 75 pages, which sped by though I wanted them to last. I was expecting this book to be more about witchcraft than it began, the witchcraft came in the second half, and was tantalizing set in nursery rhymes and fairy tales. Even while reading, I mused that what it was about, was feminism, and much more pure feminism than the word normally means. Simply, rights of women to be and do what they want, without oppression or fear. True the suffragists were a part of the story, but the real demand was for freedom without tyranny. Interesting thoughts and deeds ...
