I loved this book and the way it approaches witchcraft as an accessible tool for all. Harrow does so much within 500(ish) pages that I am left agog. It's a story about rights, sisterhood, and the power of will. "Where there's a will, there's a way" truly takes on a deeper meaning through this text. Harrow ingeniously weaves retellings of classic fairytales, now witchtales, and nursery rhymes, now spells, throughout the novel, paying homage to the importance of oral histories.

I really wanted to like this one more than I actually did. Loved the parts, just not how they were all put together. Pacing is an issue, especially with the 1st half.
