My opinion is just one.
I don’t know what to think about this book. I loved Thuy but I really could not stand Drill. For being in an MC for so many years, he was so very weak willed and indecisive and it didn’t suit him. I think the same plot could have been kept without making Drill look so weak. Also, I couldn’t really see Drill and Thuy together; the two of them didn’t really fit together in my mind.

Remarkably cozy for a MC romance; biker and librarian isn’t my usual niche but I enjoyed this

An exciting book!
In Prose before Bros you get a smart and fun book with just enough of bikers and their motorcycle club to make it great. It’s my kind of biker book. I don’t need to get all into the nitty gritty of an MC.

I really hate these books that are just “fine.” The characters are fine, the setting is fine, the story is fine. The issue is that there is nothing memorable about this story.
Maddie and Thuy’s friendship sounded amazing. But, other than Thuy moving with her to help with the baby, I never saw that. They talked about it but it was not obvious.
Drill was interesting in that he’s in the Wraiths and they are imploding. The reason he joined is clear. The reason he stays is loyalty? Or is it laziness! How is this club even operating?
Thuy had a lot of potential. Her backstory was interesting but there were holes that I just could not get around.
There is no real chemistry between Drill & Thuy. They are both important to Maddie but that’s about it. She’s new in town so there’s that. He’s a bad boy biker. It just felt like a oh you’re here so let’s do this kind of thing.
This book did not work for me. And I hate Patrick Rothfuss books do maybe that made it worse

Fascinating to get a different peek at a side character from the Winston Brothers series. I really empathized with Drill, and that was unexpected. Thuy is a kickass librarian. Love her.
