Thuy is an interesting character what I love the most was her passion for her job and for books. She wants everyone to experience the love of reading. That is something I can get behind.
Drill is Maddy’s brother who joined the motorcycle club when he was just a boy and now things aren’t going so well for him. And his priorities have changed once he sees Thuy and how much he has missed his sister.
The book was ok for me over all it was a good solid listen.
I enjoyed the narration but I didn’t get that feeling like it was part of a series other than the club.

A brilliant addition to the Green Valley universe.
I especially liked the contrasting elements used in this book - biker/librarian, tradition/progressive, good/bad, heavy handed parents/ idealistic kids (though they’re adults now).
All of these different themes had to be spun together to give us a cohesive, engaging story. A difficult balancing act but I believe the author pulled it off.
Thuy and Drill make a good team; you can already see a partnership and loyalty between them that seems solid and true. Their attraction just sizzles right off the page (or in my case, the iPad screen). I especially liked how easy they were to each other, no added drama for drama sakes. They just do the best they can with what they have. There is this one moment of doubt Thuy has but instead of letting it build, and fester into a misunderstanding of epic proportions, she asks Drill, and he explains. Finally! I’ve been waiting for a moment like this in romance for a long time.
The biker gang drama was brilliant though! You won’t sympathise with bikers because they are not good folks. But their drama is what pushes the momentum of this story, and the stress on Drill is so very clear for the reader you can’t help but want a good outcome for him.
An engaging, thought provoking read.

I'm totally loving all of these books set not only in the fictional world of Green Valley that I love, but also with some awesome librarians! This book had some amazingly true parts about how it is to be a librarian, as well as so many real things that go on in the book world. Like authors banding together to donate and help out libraries in need, or anyone in need. And the fight between the last generation of librarians to save everything and keep it traditional compared to the newer generation of librarians who want to get the library to meet the needs of all of its patrons. I am not normally a fan or a reader of actual motorcycle club romances, so that is probably what kept this from being a full 5 stars here on my blog, even though I will give it the full 5 stars on every other site instead of rounding down to 4. It was my love of the perfect picture of librarians of all ages, along with the whole Green Valley scene and some of the characters we already know and love that keeps me rounding it up. The story was good, and in the end, I loved the way that Thuy saved the day. I mean all that pain and suffering in her early life definitely deserved to pay off in some way, and it did in the perfect way to save Drill.
I'll once again reiterate how much I'm loving this series and all the ways we get to go back into the Green Valley world and be a part of it. To meet all these new characters and see them interacting with the main characters from other books in the series is fun as well. As much as I say I don't like MC romances, I did actually enjoy a bit of seeing Drill try to find his way out of the Wraiths and getting a little bit of a peek into that organization now that all the big names we know from the Winston Brothers series have made their exits. Now, hand over the next book in the series please, I'm ready for it!

DNF – Everyone's selfish and I just really cannot get into this at all
Unfortunately, out of the Smartypants Romance books I’ve read so far, this is my least favorite. I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately, I didn’t.
Opposites do attract but there is generally a driving force that pulls them together. In this story, immediate attraction feels like the only thing that forces Thuy and Drill together. They are just so different. I had a very hard time connecting with either of the characters individually and I had a really hard time believing in their romance.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

Yay!! This is my new favourite book from the Smartypants world. This was such a fun, sweet read and I loved every minute of it. I don't know how to explain it, but everything just fell into place and just felt so right. I loved our main character, I loved Drill and I loved their chemistry-filled relationship. My only complaint was that it felt very fast, but part of this complaint is really just because I wanted more of them! I definitely recommend this one!

Dark MC book with farming, dead moms, abusive dads, unplanned pregnancy. Library and book love.
Enjoyed this book in the series as well. Liked the interaction with Drill & Thuy, and also loved the rekindling of the sibling relationship with Drill & Maddie.
