brothers best friend & close proximity- sign me up. i definitely felt connected to iris as she didn’t want to follow everyone’s same path, but also was unsure of what she wanted to do. does anyone know what they want to do? & abbott holding all that grief
I always feel like Devney Perry books are like a warm hug with a bit of a sexy slap on the ass afterwards.
The Brood was fairly formulaic but in all the good ways. Calamity, Montana has always been such a nice setting and Perry makes you feel like you live there with these characters. Broody man meets wild woman and learns to love again after experiencing the power of her

The Brood is book 6 in the Calamity, Montana series. These books can be read as standalones but I am always going to recommend reading in order. I’ve loved them all.
I adored this book! Iris is an influencer who moves every two months. Wilder is a teacher who escaped to Montana years ago. The one thing they have in common? Wilder’s best friend/Iris’s brother, Danny. Iris and Wilder were so different from one another, but from their very first interaction I knew it was going to be fun watching them fall. Wilder was BROODY and unlike everyone else, Iris didn’t let him get away with it. I loved every interaction, the tension, the banter. The spicy scenes were top notch and the book even made me tear up at times. Iris brought out the best in Wilder and Wilder gave Iris just as much. This is without a doubt five stars and I highly recommend it!

Devney does it again, it felt so, so good to be back in Calamity.
Wilder is the king of broods. With grunts and curt nods he is put to the test with Iris, his best friends younger sister who has a knack for asking every question under the sun. I simply loved that the broodiest man was a high school teacher to hormonal, obnoxious teenagers. It couldn’t have fit him more perfect. Iris was just so fun to read. As an influencer, constantly traveling and often looked down upon from family, her brother and some outsiders for being covered in tattoos and not having a college degree. She never strayed and stayed true to her who was, but with much needed change she ended up in non-other than Calamity, under Wilder’s roof. These two were the perfect opposites attract, from vibes to personalities. I loved how seamlessly these two gravitated from a friendship to a relationship and don’t even get me started on the sweet epilogue.
4.5/5 stars!

I love a grumpy science teacher and sunshiney girl!!!!!!!! Wilder can GET IT. taking her pictures for her???? Encouraging her influencing career????? Loving her out there outfits and everything about her???? Yes yes yes. I didn’t give it four stars because I hate the dead wife trope. Especially how this one was done.
