Why on earth did i bother finishing this??
emotional funny hopeful informative inspiring lighthearted sad fast-paced

Didn't feel like there was any was any chemistry between the characters. Did not feel the love.

Aww, lo amé, amé a los personajes, la historia, el final, todo❤❤

I was in need of a standalone romance to start listening to while on a short car trip. This one has been on my list for a while and was available from the library, so...here I am. :)

I liked it! I didn't love it, but it was good enough to earn 3-4 stars. I loved the beginning. It started out strong and I was sure I was on my way to a 4-5 star read. I don't know what happened in the middle. It felt like a different book to me- or maybe it was just me since that was when I was done with my car trip. I continued to listen to the book, but in smaller sections. I was engaged, but felt like something was off in the second half. Maybe too much going on. Maybe my expectations were off. *shrug*

Anyway, this was my first Penelope Ward novel and I will definitely try another book by this author.

a very funny read!

Now I want to re-read Step-brother Dearest

Chelsea has been dumped by the man she loves. She moves into a new apartment and her neighbor is an angry artist. Damien over hears all of Chelsea's secrets and fears over her recent break up. While they do not hit it off at first, he does befriend her and offer her solid advice on how to move on and heal her heart. He stresses to her that they can never be more than friends. In spite of his warning, Chelsea falls for him. He helps her find her confidence and pulls her out of self loathing state. I love how Penelope Ward always has a serious conflict that can make or break the romance. This story did not disappoint. Great read.
