i wish this sequel was as good as the first book
Liked it. Second chance romance.
I only have two complaints:
1. Wes’ lines are far too cheesy for me. Sometimes it makes me cringe. Also, am I the only one who thinks that he is full of himself? Like, the confidence in getting Liz back makes me like him a little less
2. also, I’m not too fond of the way Liz’s friends are treated. I get it that Wes had a sad history, but that does not give him the right to do what he had done, and her friends are looking past that instead of supporting her. I wished Joss appeared more in the book, she would probably get pissed about Wes.
Overall, I liked the book. I would recommend taking a break after book 1 before continuing, though. It was a fast read for me, and I like that the romance did not take up much of the story.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love [a:Lynn Painter|19322026|Lynn Painter|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1577135205p2/19322026.jpg]? If I haven't, I am saying it now, and even though nothing could be better than (no pun intended) [b:Better than the Movies|55710822|Better than the Movies (Better than the Movies, #1)|Lynn Painter|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1618150545l/55710822._SY75_.jpg|71767711], I still loved [b:Nothing Like the Movies|207293948|Nothing Like the Movies (Better Than the Movies, #2)|Lynn Painter|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1707242121l/207293948._SY75_.jpg|106248460] with all my heart. As with the first book, there is a quote from a famous movie at the beginning of each chapter that coincides with what is happening in said chapter, and I will never get sick of that. I hadn’t seen all of the movies that Painter referenced, but I have seen a few of them, and the quotes all hit whether I had seen the movie or not. I love Wes and Liz, and this second chance romance gave me all the feels. It was actually heavier than I had expected it to be but told with enough humor that you are able to laugh through your tears. At least for me. I cry a lot.

Okay, I’m up for cheesy romances and second chances but this one was just pathetic, even worse than the first book.
It was just like—there is a boy and there is a girl. They fall in love. Then they break up. Now, they have to be together for sake of this book, so they did in the end, without making any sense throughout the book whatsoever. 😤
