There are truly only 2 things I dislike about the Going to the Movies series:
1. We don’t get enough pages of Liz and Wes together as a couple
2. They have the audacity to end
There was SO MUCH yearning in this book. Still a clean ya read, but Wes and Liz definitely grew up from the first book. In this book they battle family death and struggle to overcome problems from their past. Throughout the book, Wes is obvious in his forever love for Liz and I loved that we get his point of view in this book. He just loves her so much and we love Wes!! I wish there was more. I’d eat up more books of Wes and Liz together

i had forgotten how much i loved these characters & lynn painters writing. i absolutely loved the second chance trope and thought it was done really well. wes bennett will forever be my book bf.

i’ve heard people say this book was so bad compared to the first one, but i disagree. I much preferred this one, the dual povs and reading about how head over heels Wes is with Liz was adorable.
The only thing I wish was different about this book and “better than the movies”, is more romance. In the books, they get together at the end and there’s hardly any scenes of them when they’re dating but other than that, their banter throughout the books makes up for it.
