This book had all the tropes of a mafia romance that I enjoy. Secrets, danger, tension, spice, a strong female lead, and a psychotic mafia man who would destroy the world to get her heart.
Elsa is a strong women in her line of work and is just the right amount of sassiness and sweet. She has the perfect balance of strength and intelligence. Hades is a brooding playboy with a dark soft side, which is what makes him a very likeable hero. I loved Hades protectiveness and possessiveness for Elsa and Elsa's sister.
The developments and their banter were entertaining. However, I did believe that the conclusion came together quickly. Still, I had a great time reading this book. I can't wait to read the next one. I loved seeing the relationships between the family members and previous characters.

This was so bloody good!
I absolutely loved Elsa and Hades. The chemistry and tension between them was insane!
I loved how opposite they were to each other with Elsa being a strong, independent women with no experience compared to possessive, manwhore Hades.
I loved that we explored Hades character and we found he wasn’t just a straight up manwhore but there was reasoning behind it which was actually heartbreaking. I also loved how protective and obsessed he was with Elsa and how after her he couldn’t be with anyone else. I also really liked how he became protective over her sister.
I thought their relationship development was done really well and the smut was so hot. I especially liked when they became more vulnerable with each other which led to a lot of cute moments.
The plot in this book was so good and my favourite yet. There was a lot of shit going down in this book and we see a lot more of the Russians. I once again loved how involved the whole family was in this book.
I’m very excited to read about Gavan’s book next.

This was a fucking mess. The plot was all over the place and made no sense.
Elsa was the least professional lawyer ever, which we’re told she works her ass off but besides staying late at the office a couple of times we don’t actually see what makes her an awesome lawyer. Plus, she’s probably the least responsible legal guardian to a 15 year old; I mean she’s being threatened and her 15 year old sister too but what does she do about it? Nothing, she does nothing and doesn’t tell anyone. Like please someone take the child away from her.
Hades was just annoying; immature, irresponsible and uncaring of the consequences his actions could’ve brought upon Elsa and Nora.

He’s been through a lot and nobody fully understand him, I enjoyed seeing this side of him. And the way he is with Elsa made me melt. He’s possessive, obsessed and had major “look at her and d*e” vibes
