The way this book was going to be 5 stars and then she called him Daddy, he called her kitten and my whole world came crashing down. Other than that, it’s a good book. Hades is very possessive, like damn and we love to see it. I love Elsa although she does seem to have a little stick up her ass but it is understandable. I love her little sister too fr.

Sinful Hearts – Dark Hearts #3 - Review

Couple: Elsa Guin & Hades Drakos

Author: Jagger Cole

Tropes: dark romance, mafia romance, enemy to lover, forced proximity, reformed playboy, touch her and die vibes

Review: It. Has. Come. Hades is HERE! This is the third book in the Dark Hearts series and it was the one I have been WAITING FOR! In this dual POV romance, we finally see the playboy Hades fall to his knees.

Hades and Elsa are opposites who attract in the most primal of ways. Elsa is a buttoned up lawyer for the Drakos family and she also has a dark past she keeps secret. Her loyalty to her sister was awe-inspiring to read and I enjoyed how she rebelled against her father and his rule. The push and pull she went through with Hades and with her inner self was also immensely intriguing to read and I found myself sucked into her turmoil.

Hades is perhaps the most complex MMC in this series so far. His self-introspection in the book was astounding and I found myself sad for the young Hades when we learn his past with his brother Atlas. I also had no words for how much I loved his devotion and confusion for how he feels for Elsa. I liked how he compared his feelings to those around him and then repeatedly talked to Elsa as well.

The big conflict in this book is Elsa’s past and the family secret she keeps hidden. I was surprised with how explosive it came out but was pleasantly surprised and shocked with who it turned out to be egging the situation on.

This book is full of spice, angst, tension, chemistry and sparking attraction. Jagger does not disappoint with this book! I am eager to read the next story and am curious when we will get Deimos’ story and Neve’s sister’s.
