This book took me by surprised, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. This is my first book by Elizabeth, and it definitely will NOT be the last one. I honestly don't know how much I've cried for this book. It was totally forbidden, definitely enemies to lovers. You can say it's somewhat love triangle-ish. Lol
Drew is dating Six who is the younger brother of Josh. Josh and Drew do not get along. Banter at every turn. The banters got me chuckling, but as I keep on reading, it got really emotional. My heart HURTS for Drew, and my heart is SCARED for Josh. Lol Drew is a "messy, alcoholic, problematic" popular singer, and Josh is a doctor who works overseas in the danger zone in Somalia. Josh and Six's mother is sick with cancer so they all went on vacation to Hawaii.
The build up relationship of Drew and Josh was perfection. The things Josh do for Drew had me smiling and swooning. Definitely BOOK BOYFRIEND GOALS!!! I highly recommend it. PICK UP THIS ONE!!!

this was a wonderful slower burn romance!! enemies to lovers, ex’s brother, famous/nom-famous and a bit of a secret relationship!
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Drew in the other books (even though we really didn’t see too much of her lol), but my gosh, this book was hard to read at times bc of how much I grew to love her and how much she really struggled in her life! we got a bit deeper into her childhood and a lot was explained as to why she is how she is, and it just made me so sad for her

Second Elizabeth O’Roark book. Second five star for her. It almost feels like she might be my new KA Tucker?

4.5⭐️ I can’t get enough of this series!! Another enemies to lovers and angsty slow burn that was too good! When I first read the synopsis, I was weary of the ex boyfriend’s brother trope, but trust me it is done so perfectly!! Josh is now my new book boyfriend. I loved how he supported Drew with her career and how selfless he was both professionally and personally! I loved that half of the book took place across three Hawaiian islands and were written with descriptive and vivid details. I also loved how we got glimpses of Tali and Hayes together (character’s from book one) and got to know Ben a bit more as he is the male main character in the next book.
