I loved this. I love Drew and Joshua. I love Elizabeth’s writing. her books are easy to read, exciting, and are definitely page turners. I finished this within a day of starting!

I didn’t expect how this book ended - I knew WHAT would happen, but the HOW was so interesting and different from any other romance book I’ve read.

the settings of this book are also awesome - we spend time in Hawaii, New York, LA, Paris, and Somalia. all over and so different! and the brioche scene in Paris??? SWOON.

I love that Drew is described by one character as “messy” and that Joshua realizes she’s not messy - she’s resilient. she’s strong, and learns how to find her voice.

also we got some peeks back at Tali and Hayes that I loved. I can’t wait for the third one to come out!

Bad but I enjoyed it anyway iiiii hate myself <33

Oh, my. This one was great, especially the first three quarters. The character development of both MCs was fantastic, and the interactions set in Hawaii were absolutely out of this world.

So many family members and managers I want to punch in the face

I would’ve liked this more if the love interest didn’t have the same name as someone I went to high school with.

FANFREAKINGTASTIC BANTER. some of my funniest Kindle highlights.

MF - contemporary romance - white MCs - moderate steam - pov dual first - celebrity (rockstar) - enemies to lovers - forced proximity (vacation) - wealthy MCs - forbidden (ex’s brother) - 5 stars. Could not put down. Usually I struggle with heroines that have such completely low self esteem and are (semi) with a totally schmuck at the start of the book but my heart for Drew.

A grumpy x grumpy, dual POV, vacation romance between Drew, a famous singer trying to hide from a bad PR event and the older doctor brother of her ex-boyfriend who ends up falling for her while in Hawaii with his family despite his misconceptions that Drew is a vapid rockstar. This was good on audio read by Samantha Brentmoor and Lee Samuels (two of my fav narrators), with great panic attacks/asthma rep (her). Not my very fav by this author but still a fun read!
