Dr. Joshua Bailey… smash. This book was so cute. Drew is a famous musician looking to escape so she agrees to go on a trip to Hawaii with her ex-boyfriend and his family. His grumpy, attractive doctor brother is there and immediately Drew and Josh are at it. There has always been tension and bickering between them and nothing is different now. Except, Six got arrested and Drew is stuck hanging with the Bailey’s. Bickering turns into an unlikely friendship between Josh + Drew, and by the time Six arrives, Drew wishes he wasn’t there.
Josh and Drew were like MAGNETS. Soulmate vibes 100%. I also loved that this was a female musician story. I’ve read about the spiraling male musician countless times so it was a nice change of pace to see if from the woman’s perspective. Famous popstar + straight laced doctor?? Yes yes yes.
One thing that immediately has me falling in love with a book? The “I’ve been in love with you for forever even before you knew it” trope. I EAT THAT SHIT UP.
Although this was a cute, enemies? To friends to lovers, slow burn, boyfriend’s brother romance, it definitely has those tear jerker moments. I felt so bad for Drew. This poor girl needed a hug and a vacation for the rest of her life. And Josh’s work in Somalia? You could tell that he was so passionate about it and it was so sweet.
The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because the book feels like 2 separate parts. During vacation and after. I definitely feel like I was more into the first part but still enjoyed the rest of the book!

3.5 ⭐️ I love Elizabeth’s writing sooo much! Unfortunately the ending of this book wasn’t my vibe. The miscommunication trope is an immediate no from me but I did love the first 2/3 of the book!
I really enjoyed this book! I’m a sucker for a slow burn romance and my lord was this slow burn but I’m the best way. I couldn’t wait for the hero and heroine to get together and when they did … *chef’s kiss*. The hero I have to say was my favorite. He was the grouchy, brooding, lovable guy who just wanted to take care of the girl. He was always sticking up for her and looking after her and I just loved it. The chemistry was so hot too. I just loved it…if you can’t tell. Ha! Read it! I have found a new favorite author I think.
