Not my favorite in the series but easy enough to read. I did like the slow burn between the characters. Not the biggest fan of this type of FMC or the miscommunication just before the end. There was also some unnecessary parts (her traveling). Not super steamy unlike the other ones in the series.

Thought this book was pretty decent. It did drag on a bit towards the end and felt some plot points/events were unnecessary and others not developed enough.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Cancer, Sexual content
Minor: Drug use, Gun violence, Panic attacks/disorders, Suicide, Medical content

Drew is a world famous singer that has a reputation for public intoxication. Her last occurrence was while she was onstage and fell off. When she's finally on break from touring, she is invited to Hawaii with her boyfriend's (Joel/Six) family. Six is also in a band so he plans to meet Drew in Hawaii but is arrested in another country and in jail. Until he gets out, Drew is stuck with his family.
Josh is Six's older brother. From the day he met Drew, he has been mean to her. Turns out he liked her and to push those feelings down, he spoke negatively about her. Of course he'd never go after Drew since she's dating his brother. Even if she wasn't dating him, she did!
Six is a mess and Drew just puts up with it. Until Josh sticks up for her and she learns she doesn't have to take crap from anyone anymore. It takes her time to stick up for herself to those in her life but it happens throughout the story. I loved it too! Her family and manager needed to be put in their places. She isn't a doormat and shouldn't be treated as a criminal, a drunk, a loser, or a meal ticket. Josh saw her for so much more and it was the sweetest thing ever. I highly recommend this book.
Now, the narrators do leave room for improvement. Samantha Brentmoor's male impersonation is just not good. I can't even describe it. When she voices Six/Joel, it isn't bad. When she's voicing Josh's lines, I cringe so much. It's just yuck to me.
