I really liked the book and the writer writes well, providing information in a interesting way. She doesn't gloss over the bad parts of the of the Eastern Bloc, but the good things they had going can be reporposed, to better the life of people nowadays mainly women. If you are in the fence in relation to socialism or want to know more about it, give it a try.

This was a quick, informative read. I really enjoyed learning about the past and other parts of the world and how capitalism and socialism, whether in the East or West, is all connected and play important roles in parts of our lives that we often probably don’t even realize.
