Love this series and interesting what I’ve forgotten and remembered. Definitely talking with my kiddos about the injustices suffered at the hands of the indigenous for Laura and family to claim their rights to the land, and still fascinating to read about all they endured!
Charming look at Laura's years as a teenaged teacher and her courtship with her husband, though the age difference is awkward from a modern perspective.
Listening to the Little House audio books in the car with my family. I enjoy them every time, but I'm especially enjoying this book as Laura becomes a young woman!

Surprisingly boring. Laura dates but doesn't seem to know she's dating. She never figures out her husband-to-be is the same age as her older classmates. She teaches almost by accident. And yet it is also a quick pleasant read.
it doesn't matter that i never wanted to actually wear the clothes described herein; what matters is that the clothes were described _in detail_.
