Cute sweet story with a good dose of “I’m not good enough for him” twinges. I think I’m just in a mood for a MMC that’s a little less giddy and goofy.

I thought this was a fun and cute read. I really liked Carter Beckett's character for the most part, he was hot and adorable in equal parts and also open, vulnerable and "good at communicating", so I loved him... when he didn't make me cringe to death :). But I had a few problems with this book, mainly:

- The pace and lenght: this was way too long for a romance book with 0, I mean zero, slow burn. It doesn't have to be a slow burn per se, but just some build up to the relationship in a romance is the bare minimum, and though, as I said, this is nice, funny and has a comfort aspect to it, everything happened way way too fast. That said, even if they're suddenly eternally in love out of nowhere, I ended up liking their relationship and rooting for them until the book starts to feel long.

- The characters being consistent with their actions/personality: Olivia caved way to quick for someone that was so opposed to the idea of dating Carter from the beginning, but even if you overlook that, I can't get past the way they'd had such an open and communicative relationship and suddenly in the 3rd act Carter just won't be transparent with her. The sudden miscommunication wasn't only unnecesary, it just didn't feel like Carter at all. It was so frustrating and the final nail in the coffin for me.

So, overall, I guess it was ok. A bit disappointing from what I was expecting at the beginning, but also not bad.
