This felt like the Scholamance series, which I want more of in my life. Definitely a fun, modern take on paranormal teens at school.
Her writing has gotten way better since I read Crave and hated it but still has some of the same issues with lack of depth, basic inconsistent details of objects and space. Really liked the two main characters already had a history so there wasn't a 'getting to know you' bit. She tries death more lightly than it deserves and you get used to it. There's a general shallow depth of the characters and world but I genuinely didn't know what was going to happen with the plot and it was fast paced which made up for it.

This YA paranormal book was good! I really enjoyed getting to know each of the characters. I loved all the different paranormal elements and how they all were at the same boarding school. Such a cool plot!

I did not enjoy this book. There are numerous plot holes characters that were unnecessary and so many unanswered questions that I could never recommend this book.
